Can I give up my race entry to someone else or change my race category?
No. Race entry is non-transferable and any request from participants to change their race category will not be entertained.
When does registration for the BaliSporti Highway Half Marathon 2013 start and end?
There will be on-site registration for the BaliSporti Highway Half Marathon 2013 at the Event Launch, at the Nusa Dua, from 11 am to 4 pm on 17.11.2013.
Online registration will start from 4th of September 2013, 6 pm. Walk-in registration for the BaliSporti Highway Half Marathon 2013 starts from 10th of September 2013, 10 am. Both online and walk-in registration will end on 15th November 2013 .
How much are the registration fees? Will there be any early bird discount?

Do I need to fill up any relevant indemnity declaration form and require parental/guardian consent if I’m below the age of 18?
Yes, participants below the age of 18 are required to seek parental/guardian consent. They would need to fill up the relevant indemnity declaration forms upon online or walk-in registration, failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse race entry to the participant.
Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after registration?
No. Registrations fees are non-refundable.
Can I make changes to my particulars after submitting my registration?
No changes to race category are allowed once registration is completed.
Can I change my race category after submitting my registration?

During registration, will I be able to select the size for my Finisher’s T-shirt* for BHHM 2013?
Yes. We provide a registration form where you are able to select your t-shirt size.
What is the difference between the Running Singlet and Finisher’s T-shirt?
All registered Bali Highway Half Marathon 2013 runners will receive their Running Singlets during the Race Entry Pack Collection, which will be held closer to race day. All runners who complete the race in their chosen category will also receive a Finisher’s Medal on race day.

Complimentary baggage service will be provided. You will be prompted to indicate whether you would like to have baggage handling services when you register for the race.
Choose the baggage handling services if you wish to deposit your belongings near the start point for transport to a baggage collection area located near the finish point.
More details on baggage handling services will be revealed closer to race day.

What are the age criteria for the respective race categories?
• Participants for the Half Marathon must be 17 years and above as of 1 of November 2013.
• Participants for the 10 km must be 14 years and above as of 1 of November 2013.
• Participants for the 3.14 Km must be 10 years and above as of 1 of November 2013.
Note:
Children younger than 10 years old , who wish to participate in the 3.14 Km fun walk, can only do so when accompanied by a parent or a guardian during the entire fun walk.
If I miss the flag-off time of my race category, can I join another race category instead? (E.g. I signed up for the Half Marathon, but I was late, so can I take part in the 10km Race instead?)
No. There will be 3 different routes for the following categories – Half Marathon, 10km Race, and 5 Km. Participants will be disqualified, and no timing will be provided if they do not run in the category that they have registered for. Participants who do not start within 30 minutes from their respective flag-off times will be disqualified.
Is there a limit to the number of people who may accompany one child?
Yes. Only one parent / guardian* issued with an identification tag will be allowed to accompany any child aged 10 years and below.
*Guardians of the children have to be at least 15 years old.
If I cannot make it for the race due to last minute commitments, can I get a friend to take my place?
No. Race entries are strictly non-transferable. In the interest of the runners’ well-being and safety, the Organiser strictly prohibits and strongly discourages the sale, exchange and transfer of race entries. This is because Race Bibs contain the registered runner’s medical information and emergency contacts, which is important for the medical teams to provide immediate medical assistance should an accident occur.
If I register for the Half Marathon and I can only manage to run the 10 Km on race day, can I still get the Half Marathon’s Finisher’s Medal and Finisher’s Certificate?
No. Race category and distance are strictly non-transferable. Participants who do not complete their race will not be issued the Finisher’s medal, Finisher’s Certificate and Finisher’s T-shirt (where applicable).
What happens when I’m still in the midst of the race after the eight (8) hour cut off mark?
For Half Marathon participants who are unlikely to finish the race within three hours, race officials and route marshals will divert them at designated diversion points along the race route, to a shorter race route towards the finish gantry.
For the safety of the participants, they must obey as instructed; otherwise they will be pulled off the race course immediately.
Will I still receive the Finisher’s T-shirt, Finisher’s Medal and Finisher’s certificate after the four (4) hour cut off mark?
Half Marathon participants who are diverted to the shorter route will still be entitled to receive the Finisher’s T-shirt and Finisher’s Medal upon crossing the finish line.
However, they will not receive the Finisher’s Certificate and their race timings will not be recorded as they will be deemed disqualified (DQ).
When will the 2013 Finisher’s certificate be available and will it be hard copy or electronic copy?
Bali Highway Half Marathon participants will received their certificate in hard copy after finishing the race. Due the process, participant will allowed to join closing ceremony at finish area.
What if I am injured during the race or otherwise unable to finish the race?
First aid stations will be located along the routes. Medical assistance will be provided to injured participants.
However, these participants will not be issued their Finisher’s T-shirt (if applicable), Finisher’s Medal or Finisher’s Certificate.
What happens if the race is called off because of bad weather?
In view of the safety and well-being of the runners, the Organiser may decide to call off the race due to bad weather.
Runners who are on the routes will be diverted by route marshals to nearby shelter areas.
Will the runners be refunded their money if the race is called off due to bad weather, etc?
If the race has to be cancelled, there will be no refund of fees paid.
This is stated in the Rules & Regulations. This is mainly because the Organiser will have to pay the vendors and the service providers for the works and the purchases which were made to prepare for the marathon.
However, the Organiser will review the situation and will announce more details at a later date.
